Angelo’s Pizzeria is a favorite in the Bloomfield “Little Italy” area of PGH. Another no-frills, old fashioned pizza place, Angelo’s is considered to be the best by many. People also freak out about their hoagies, particularly their steak and meatball hoagies. I’ll have to try those next time I go!
Their garlic knots made my car smell like garlic for 3 days straight, but THEY WERE SO WORTH ITTT. The worn-looking sign out front, a few customers sitting around over a box of pizza in their small dining room, and the chatty, friendly employees brought Angelo’s old Italian pizza shop vibe to life. Their plain cheese pizza was extreeeeemely good – The cheese was layered on thick, and the sauce was on point. It soaked into the crust in the absolute perfect way.
